Cord Pulls
I'm a little unsure about the term 'cord pull', or is it blind cord? cord lift? shadepull?blindlift?blahblahblah...
This small project was like a Lego mindstorm - - instantaneous, decisive, & brilliant - -yep.
I have a couple more projects for this room that are lengthy, uncertain, & potentially hazardous.
The solution must not! consist of something flamable, a toothbrush & putty knife arghhh!

complete redo - wiring, spring, switches...finish?

Cute shade bobbles. I'm looking at my shade pulls and would never have thought of improving on them. Clever girl.
I'm curious...what would need something flamable, a toothbrush, and a putty knife to fix?

re: something flamable/toothbrush/putty knife; I was referring not very clearly to stripping the finish completely & refinishing it. My parents used to refinish furniture for "fun". I just want some sort of miraculous stuff that goes over the old finish & makes it all better.

Uh. Refinishing furniture. It's such a daunting task but the end result is usually rewarding. I say "DO IT".
It's like painting though. When I paint something, I have on my painting clothes & that's what I'm doing. No multi-tasking. I don't like to be confined like that. Plus there's the smell.
