Thrifted Glassware Collection

The bottle is for flowers. It has nice gilt & the red ink is a little washed out. Perfect. The deer is going to be a pincushion - I've tried actually planting grass in these little planters & they look pretty for a few days if I sit with the plant & hold its hand...
The vintage hat is for no purpose in particular - I don't have an occasion to wear it hehe. The ric rac flowers are fun & easy to make. The instructions were in Martha Stewart a few years ago in the spring & bear repeating. I think it's a worthy use for vintage ric rac & buttons. I'm kinda stingy with the substantial all - cotton vintage ric rac I've amassed all in beautiful colors not available today. The little flowers can be moved from one item to another whereas I'm not likely to remove ric rac that was applied to a garment after it's worn out. Also, vintage buttons always seem to come in 1s, 2s, or 4s - almost never 5s, 6s, or 7s; enough for a new garment.
Thumbnail instructions for flowers later -

I think you should wear that hat to church.

That's a funny word picture.

What a great idea for the little planter! Our little dog recently
chewed up my pincushion that I've had
over 25 years. It was like the black hole for needles was opened up.
On the lookout for something similar.
Would Tom's old shoe work?

haha! you made me laugh out loud - bless you :)
The dog must've regretted that choice - did he/she look like a cactus?
I like the shoe idea. Esp. if his feet are say, a 12. you'd never lose the pincushion & you could carry it around under your arm.
