(little) Christmas knitting projects

I enjoyed experimenting with this mistletoe ornament pattern today. The examples shown on Ravelry were very pretty, plus yarn and beads were involved. Other knitters' comments assured me that the knitting itself could be accomplished in one sitting...& I had some yarn in just the right color! I felted it by hand & used some vintage pearls & ribbon to embellish...

This cute silhouette was made for me by my son at a party. A polaroid was taken, then he cut around his image, flipped it over & matted the cutout creating a simple silhouette.

This is my portrait; painted by my daughter at six

I've learned something new & fixed what was undoubtedly a problem; I've learned what a permalink is. This lead to my discovery that my selected 'post-title font color' was the same color as the background. That clarified why I could never see my post titles on my blog & soon I figured out some more stuff, so now if one of my flickr pictures says 'blogged about here', the link will actually take you there.
